  • How long is a term?

Purdue Global has 10-week terms. Undergraduate students typically take 2 classes per 10‐week term with a weeklong break before the next term.

The schedule for master's‐level classes varies by program (see the University Catalog for the maximum number of courses per term for your program of interest).

  • Where do I go to classes?

Classroom and seminar learning occurs in an online, flexible environment so you can study anywhere you have an internet connection.

  • Is there any support available to assist with my education needs?

Yes. We offer numerous student resources to help you achieve your education goals, including:

    •  Faculty support

    •  Education advising

    •  Career services

    •  Math, Science, Technology, Business, and Writing Centers

    •  Career Network

  • Can I earn credit for my prior college courses?

If you have any prior credits or degrees, inform your Admissions Advisor when you speak to them and provide your unofficial transcripts (official transcripts will be sent directly from the prior school to Purdue Global within the first term). Your Admissions Advisor can request an unofficial mapping of your prior credits to the degree you would like to obtain. An official review will be completed within your first term, when official transcripts are received.

In addition, Purdue Global does articulate some industry certifications so be sure to provide your Advisor with that information upon enrollment. Here is the mapping of certifications to courses.

  • What are the technology requirements for online learning?

To enroll and participate in classes online, you must use a desktop computer or laptop (PC or Mac) with at least 8 GB of random access memory (RAM) and 120 GB of free hard-drive space (additional space may be needed for course-related files). However, a desktop computer or laptop must remain your primary device for studies at Purdue Global.
